BitVide is a YouTube revival created by TimeRebulit and released in October 2024. The codebase is based on another revival called YasFam, which might explain why BitVide has videos uploaded before 2024. The website has 4 presets: Feature Rich, Authentic, Realistic, and 2005 Experience.
History[edit]
On September 13, 2024, a post was made on r/oldyoutubelayout asking for names for a YouTube revival; on an unknown date, the final name, BitVide, was suggested.
On October 25, 2024 BitVide officially launched. In February 2025, a group of hackers wiped out all tables from BitVide using an SQL injection attack. Luckily, the database was recovered after the incident. On April 17, 2025, photoshop of 2005/2007 bitvide layout by CdBlocky became the first video to reach 1K views.

April Fools Prank[edit]
On April 1, 2025 (or a day before depending on the timezone), the website changed its interface to the original YasFam, with some quotes and small changes:
- I'M BACK BITCHES!
- There's no question about it, I am the better platform!
- These asshats are tryna get BitVide back, I got 3 times the goddamn functions as that 2005 ass site!
- Produce your Thoughts™ (I just invaded BitVide, excuse the sudden layout change)
- Produce your Thoughts™
But on April 3, 2025, This video was uploaded named "BING BACK BITVIDE!" (note the word "bring" was misspelt as "bing") by matthew which started a petition to to bring BitVide back (note by same user)
On April 6, 2025 (or a day before depending on the timezone), the website returned to the original BitVide, but the website icon wasn't updated. On the homepage at the time of wrtiting, there is a banner saying "What did you think about the YasFam invasion"; if the banner is clicked, it will redirect you to this link. The link is a form for the user of how their experience was during their YasFam Invasion event and if YasFam should be its own thing.
