bianco.tv was a video sharing site launched in January 2020 with a main focus on avoiding censorship by providing monetization through crowdfunding, similar to how Patreon operates. As of April 17, 2021, it was shut down due to the owner wanting to move to different projects.

Features[edit]

  • bianco.tv used adaptive streaming technology.
  • Uploading videos was possible without an account.
  • There was discover page where users can discover new content creators and videos they may like.
  • Users could upload videos from YouTube using the YouTube Import feature.
  • Livestreaming, although it was still in its infancy.
  • A "10 Minutes of Fame" section on the homepage refreshed with random videos every 10 minutes.

Flaws[edit]

  • Comments could not be edited or deleted.
  • Videos did not upload or process in the background.
  • Subscriber counts were broken as of October 1, 2020, but were fixed at an unknown date.
